I had the pleasure of meeting Rich Armstrong when my manager and I attended the Get in the Game Implementation Workshop. I very much enjoyed Rich’s delivery style as a presenter. He is down to earth and authentic. As a coach, Rich is patient and thorough. He takes the time that is needed to make sure that I not only implement what we are discussing, but that I understand why I am implementing it. Rich is an encouraging coach and cares about the success of those he mentors. Thanks to The Great Game of Business and Rich Armstrong, we have developed a team of “owners” who have helped us greatly improve our profitability and cash flow… business (and life!) has never been better!
I have had the pleasure to work with Rich on a number of occasions. We first met when I attended the Great Game seminar. Later I asked Rich to travel to Wisconsin to help us roll out open book management in my organization. Implementation was complex because we are a scattered site business with over 100 locations and 1000 employees. Rich helped us through the implementation and set up an OBM foundation for our organization that is still in use today. What most impressed me about Rich was that he brought far more to the table than just knowledge of open book management. Rich can speak intelligently about anything from finance, to compensation to growth strategies. It is clear that he and the other leaders at SRC are turning the art of management into a science. Rich’s solutions are well thought out, well tested and elegant in their simplicity.
Rich is a true inspiration. From the early days of understanding the concepts of open book management, Rich was a fantastic teacher that not only supported me in the implementation of the game at Unique World, but also was instrumental in our success. His relaxed style allows you to really engage and get through the real challenges... His support was invaluable in the success of the great game of business at Unique World, and I don't know where we would have been without him.
I have had the pleasure of working with Rich for over 5 years. In that time not only has our partnership gone from strength to strength, but he has also become a trusted adviser for both me and our business. Rich has a knack of looking outside the box to solve challenges, which has led to the design and deployment of some extremely effective development programs that have been successful for both SRC, and the clients of the Great Game of Business.
