With over 30 years experience in large and small, public and private corporations, Scott has been practicing open book management as a department head, plant manager and executive. Half of his career has been with employee-owned companies and is passionate about the power of ownership culture (even without providing an equity stake) through increasing employee engagement. He’s been instrumental in helping companies regain market share, stave off bankruptcy and grow 400-600% in sales and enterprise value. He’s a board member of profit and non-profit organizations and active in his community. He speaks often at different business, technical, ESOP association and community chamber conferences. Because of his experience in all aspects of an organization–sales, finance, IT, production, etc.–he knows the struggles of those areas to create value.
Scott’s strengths are Learner, Relator, Command, Self-Assurance and Input, and is strongly motivated by seeing others succeed rather than worrying about his own gain. He’s competitive but won’t make others feel bad–just ask his tennis partners. He is glad to share any tips and techniques that have worked for him and that he’s learned has worked for others. He’s lived in many parts of the US and has extensive international experience, truly enjoying everyone he meets.
